Further information

>The station was launched back in 1971 by a small group of young people in Kirkcaldy. Amongst them was Richard Park - who would later become the "Headmaster" of the famous BBC Fame Academy.

Up until recently the station was only broadcasting through the hospital's internal wiring system - meaning that you actually had to be in bed to listen.

In 2002, the station was awarded a licence to broadcast on an AM transmitter, meaning now that anyone with a standard AM or Medium wave radio can now listen on 1287AM or 1287MW.

The studios are now some of the most advanced in the country, and the output is as professional as any commercial radio station.
