Further information

>The Service was formed in 1970 as the first dedicated hospital radio service for Glasgow. It also quickly spawned Hospital Radio Paisley which served locations south of the River Clyde. The Hospital Broadcasting Service is still going strong, with its seventy volunteers continuing to develop with the times and adopt technology to ensure that the maximum number of patients in the locations we serve are able to receive the daily broadcasts and hear the records that they ask us to play on our nightly request programmes.

Throughout the years the organisation has seen over one hundred of its members move into professional broadcasting, something which reflects well on the quality of training provided.
