'The Music Box' is a thirty minute programme of instrumental music produced exclusively for Hospital Radio stations with tracks taken from CD, vinyl and sometimes cassette tape.

Programmes are simply presented with each track fully identified along with additional information where appropriate. The programmes are timed to last for 30 minutes (exact times vary slightly from 30:02 to 30:10) and the final track is always chosen to end rather than fade out. They are ideal for scheduling on computer playout systems or for filling short gaps in live schedules.

Programmes are recorded direct to computer and then converted to the various formats. Programmes are available as MP3 CDs (128 or 256kbps), audio CDs or .WAV data CDs free of charge on receipt of the appropriate disks.

64 of the 30-minute programmes are currently available and an audio demo is available on the website. Gordon was Male Presenter of the Year (Commended) at the HBA National Hospital Radio Awards 2006.
